James Arthur hasn’t had it easy since winning the ‘X Factor’ in 2013 and now his pal Rylan Clark has spoken out to defend the singer.
Speaking on the red carpet at the ‘I Can’t Sing’ opening night, Rylan explained that he thinks, despite his talent, James is actually pretty “insecure”, adding that he reckons people should lay off him.

It hasn’t all been plain-sailing for the ‘X Factor’ winner and he’s found himself at the centre of a number of Twitter rows and disputes in recent months.
Earlier this week, James publicly dumped his PR on the social networking site, deciding that with the help of his fans, he could do a better job of running ‘#JAHQ’.

The singer has also used Twitter to hit out at radio stations, claiming the lack of airplay for his latest single ‘Get Down’ is the reason it entered the charts at number 96.
After defending his “X Factor husband”, Rylan took a few moments to take a guess at who he thinks will be joining Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on the ‘X Factor’ judging panel.
