It looks like Claudia Winkleman is set to step into Bruce Forsyth’s shoes as permanent host of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, alongside current presenter Tess Daly.
Bruce and Tess have hosted the show together since its launch in 2004, but he announced last week that he was stepping down as host, although he will still be front the upcoming Christmas and ‘Children In Need’ specials.

The Sun is now reporting that Claudia - who already hosts the Sunday night ‘Strictly’ results shows - is the producers’ favourite choice to replace Bruce when the series comes back to screens later this year.
A BBC insider told the newspaper: “[Tess and Claudia] are certainly the first choices. Detailed discussions will start shortly and it is hoped everything can be sorted out.”
Other names linked with the presenting job include chat show host Graham Norton and John Barrowman, though The Sun claims these are only being considered as back-up choices.
If Claudia does get the co-presenting job, it will be the first time a female duo have hosted a prime time Saturday night show on British TV.
Before being upgraded to the Sunday night show in 2010, Claudia hosted the spin-off ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two’, now fronted by Zoe Ball.
Bruce revealed last week that leaving ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and his co-host of over a decade Tess Daly, was like breaking up with a girlfriend.
Stars already linked to the forthcoming series include Helen Flanagan and former ‘TOWIE’ stars Mark Wright and Joey Essex.
