A crime-fighting parrot has saved his owner after she was pushed to the ground in the London park she was taking a walk with her bird.
Wunsy the African grey was being taken for a walk - and fly - in Sunny Hill Park, north London, last Friday when his female owner was grabbed by the shoulders by a random attacker and shoved.
But the man took flight when Wunsy flapped his wings and squawked, running away towards Great North Road, Hendon.
The bird's vigilance alone will not be enough to keep the people of north London safe and police say they are keen to trace the man.
Pc Chris Cutmore from Colindale Police Station said: "This was a random attack on a woman walking out of a park.
"Although the parrot Wunsy came to her rescue, we are obviously very keen to trace the suspect and prevent him from attacking anybody else."
He was white, with short blond hair, and was aged between 25 and 35, police believe. He wore biege trousers and carried a dark rucksack.
