'The Voice' Winner Jermain Jackman Losing To Sally Barker In Chart Battle

'The Voice' Star Sally Thrashing Jermain In Charts

Jermain Jackman may have won ‘The Voice’ UK on Saturday night, but his competitor Sally Barker is winning when it comes to single sales.

Jermain, who was mentored by will.i.am, released his single, a cover of ‘And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going’ from the musical ‘Dreamgirls’ following his big win.

However, runner-up Sally is sitting 15 places higher than Jermain with her cover of Olly Murs' ballad ‘Dear Darlin’, in the mid-week chart update.

Jermain’s single hasn't even made it into the Top 40 yet, making it highly likely that Sally will be the only contestant from this year's 'The Voice' to make it into the official singles chart on Sunday.

If it's any consolation for Jermain, both him and Sally are trailing behind Ricky Wilson, one of the show's mentors, as his band Kaiser Chiefs stormed to the top of the charts last weekend with their album ‘Education, Education, Education And War’.

Kaiser Chiefs single ‘Coming Home’ also looks set to chart higher than all four of this year’s 'The Voice' finalists.

Kylie Minogue, who replaced singer Jessie J on this year’s panel, has said she isn’t sure if she’ll come back to the show when it returns next year, as filming dates are likely to clash with her upcoming tour.

Producers of the show have said they’d be happy to work filming around Kylie’s schedule, with fellow mentor Tom Jones saying he thinks the Aussie pop star will be back on the show next year.
