Woman In Rio De Janeiro Mugged Live On TV During Interview About Crime (VIDEO)

A woman from Rio De Janeiro who stopped to give a TV interview on crime in the local area was mugged half way through, when a man tried to pull her gold necklace off and ran away.

The woman was complaining about the lack of police officers in the area to journalists from RJTV when the attempted theft happened.

The thief broke the necklace chain but did not get away with the jewellery.

Despite the best efforts of a member of the camera crew to grab the thief, he managed to escape.
