‘Coronation Street’ star Bill Roache is set to make his return to the cobbles as Ken Barlow this summer - just as Michelle Keegan’s character is killed off.
The TV veteran’s return will see him implicated in the huge ‘Whodunnit?’ plot which is set to unfold on the soap, according to reports.

Bill has been absent from the since leaving when he was arrested last April. The actor was subsequently cleared of the two sex offence charges and has taken an extended break following his trial.
According to The Sun, Bill is getting ready to return to ‘Corrie’ in June and his comeback scenes will be aired in the summer.
“It has been a long time coming,” a source told the paper. “He has had an extended break following his court case and can’t wait to start filming.
Bill isn’t the only face returning to ‘Corrie’ in the coming months as it was recently announced Charles Dawson will also be returning as Jim McDonald for three months.
Michelle recently took to Twitter to apologise to fans who thought she’d been avoiding them on the ‘Corrie’ set, explaining that she couldn’t stop as her make-up would give away what happens to Tina.
Michael Le Vell is also reportedly going to return to the soap in the near future. He left last year when he faced separate charges for child sex offences.
The actor was cleared of all charges and briefly returned to the cobbles before leaving again to deal with his personal issues.
