Michelle Keegan has finally bid her final emotional goodbye to ‘Coronation Street’, and filmed her last ever scenes as Tina McIntyre.
The actress recorded her final scenes on Thursday night, describing her exit as “overwhelming” and thanking fans for their support.
Michelle 'chavs' it up for her leaving party
She tweeted: “Today has been one of the most overwhelming days I’ve ever had. Thank you for everyone’s tweets, messages and kind words.
“I’ll forever be in debt to ‘Coronation Street’ and ITV for giving me the role of Tina, I’m going to miss her.”
It was previously reported that as a tribute to Tina - who is being killed off in a suspenseful “whodunnit?” storyline in scenes to air later this year - Michelle’s leaving party would be a fancy dress do for the whole ‘Corrie’ cast with a “chav” theme, and she did not disappoint us.
Michelle was photographed on Friday night looking a far cry from the elegant red carpet looks we’re used to seeing her in, instead opting for some skin-tight black leggings and clunky gold jewellery.
As well as some familiar faces from the cast, Michelle’s fiancé Mark Wright also turned out for the event, rocking a Fila jacket and some white shorts which looked slightly like they could have been borrowed from his former ‘TOWIE’ co-star Joey Essex.

While unfortunately we didn’t get to see Emily Bishop rocking a Kappa tracksuit, and therefore have all our dreams come true, other ‘Coronation Street’ stars including Brooke Vincent and Georgia May Foote - who has previously hit out at claims she is the “new Michelle Keegan” - were photographed looking as chav-tastic as we hoped they would.
