‘Coronation Street’ actress Hayley Tamaddon has confessed she’d like to see her character become involved in a love triangle with Steve McDonald.
Hayley joined ‘Corrie’ as Andrea Beckett , a friend of Steve’s from his night classes, back in 2013.
While so far the pair are nothing more than friends, Hayley has said she’d like to see the pair get together in the future, despite the fact he’s currently in a relationship with Michelle Connor, played by actress Kym Marsh.

She admitted to the Daily Star: “It’s what the fans want to see. I’m hoping for a bust-up between Michelle and Andrea at some point.”
"I get tweets all the time saying, ‘Please say you’ll get with Steve’.”
And while Hayley couldn’t reveal exactly what was in store for Steve and Andrea, she did suggest that ‘Corrie’ viewers may well get to see the pair take their relationship to the next level in the future.
"It would be boring if everyone was happy all the time. Everybody watching wants a bit of drama.”
Hayley recently participated in the final all-star series of ‘Dancing On Ice’, where she finished in second place behind ‘X Factor’ singer Ray Quinn, having already won the series back in 2010.
A number of 'Corrie' actors are set to leave the cobbles soon with names like Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre), Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) and Georgia May Foote (Katy Armstrong) all due to make their soap exits in 2014.
Meanwhile, some of the show's remaining cast members have reportedly found that they've been given big pay rises as part of their contract renewals, which it's believed that producers are hoping will entice them to stay longer at the soap.
