Miley Cyrus has opened up about her recent hospitalisation, talking about the “scary” experience, in her first interview since being discharged.
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer was rushed to hospital after suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics earlier this month. She had previously cancelled a gig minutes before it was scheduled to start because she was suffering from the flu.

Her hospital stay meant she was forced to postpone the final dates of her ‘Bangerz’ tour, which she has now said wasn't what she wanted at all.
Miley told Ryan Seacrest during a phone interview on his radio show: “It was insane. I was begging the doctors, ‘Let me out to go do the show!’ It was basically no way.
“That was the hardest part.”

She also opened up to the presenter about how frightening it was being taken into hospital, explaining: “It was so scary... I had basically been poisoning myself with something I didn’t know I was really scary allergic to.
“I was just laying there, I'm hooked to all these machines, every two hours some woman comes in and pokes me with a needle, and it's just miserable.”
Miley admitted that she was often literally bored to tears during her time in hospital, so she decided to fight it by indulging in a spot of retail therapy.
Miley has since rescheduled the dates she cancelled due to her illness, and will be kicking off the European leg of her ‘Bangerz’ tour in Amsterdam later this week, before taking the show to the UK for a date at the O2 Arena on 6 May.
