Robots can do all kinds of stuff these days. Now they can do magic too.
Well, maybe. This video of regular TED talker and magician Marco Tempest appears to show an advanced android known as EDI perform magic tricks using nothing but a yellow ball, a hat and the help of his human master.
It's a fascinating watch. But as Engadget notes, it's also highly choreographed and as such the illusion is just a little lacking.
Still, the point want clearly to create a sense of wonder - and in that respect you have to say it's a success.

"Magic creates the illusion of impossible reality," Tempest said during the talk. "Technology can be the same."
