Alen Halilović has completed his €2.2 million transfer to Barcelona from Dinamo Zagreb.
Croatian Halilović, who turns 18 next month, signed a five-year contract with this season's La Liga runners-up after featuring in 26 games during Dinamo's title-winning campaign.
Alen Halilović has drawn comparisons with Lionel Messi and Luka Modrić
Already Halilović has drawn comparisons with Lionel Messi and compatriot Luka Modrić, having become Dinamo's youngest ever player when he made his debut aged 16 years and 101 days.
Halilović will initially join Barcelona’s B team, but could be thrust into the first-team fold quickly under new coach Luís Enrique.
He scored seven goals in 44 appearances overall for Dinamo.
The 17-year-old's arrival at Camp Nou follows Barça's acquisition of Marc-André ter Stegen from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
It was initially feared both players' deals would be delayed when Fifa imposed a year-long transfer ban on Barcelona, however that was lifted, pending an appeal.
