Denise is left devastated in ‘EastEnders’ next week, when her father figure Patrick Trueman is hospitalised after having a stroke.

Patrick is rushed to hospital in next Tuesday night's episode, and Denise rushes to be at his side immediately.

The pensioner is yet to tell Denise the shocking news and when his stroke leaves him bedridden, viewers will be left wondering whether Denise will ever find out the truth.

Ian is currently being blackmailed by Rainie, who is threatening to reveal their sordid secret.

Elsewhere in Walford, the Lucy Beale murder case is continuing and Jake is set to stand trial for the murder.

However, a revelation from Lee Carter means thinks may not be as simple as they seem.
