Cheryl Cole has revealed that she isn’t planning on starting a family any time soon.
The singer recently announced that she had married French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernadnez-Versini, in a secret ceremony on the remote island of Mustique, but despite rumours earlier this week that the happy couple might already have a child on the way, Cheryl reckons that for the time being she’s in no rush to become a mum.

When asked in an interview for The Times magazine whether or not she wanted to have children, she said: “Only possibly. Because I went through a real phase in my life recently, of like: maybe it’s not for me.
“If it happens, don’t get us wrong it happens. But it’s not in me plans.”
Earlier this week, a friend of Cheryl’s new husband sparked speculation that the ‘X Factor’ judge might be expecting when he referred to her as Jean-Bernard’s “baby mama” during a radio interview, adding: “She’s very gorgeous, she’s a great singer. She’s awesome - she rocks.”
Cheryl has spoken openly about her desire to become a mother in the past, and told GQ magazine in an interview two years ago: “I know that is what I was put on Earth to do - to be a mother.”
Meanwhile, before the news of her secret wedding had even broken, a source told The Mirror that Cheryl would be willing to start a family with Jean-Bernard, saying: “It’s no secret she wants to settle down and have a family. Maybe this will be her chance.”
