With an estimated global audience of one billion people watching it was no wonder that nerves got the better of Susan Boyle for a few brief moments at Wednesday night's Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
The Scottish singer took to the stage at Glasgow's Celtic Park to sing the Paul McCartney and Wings' 1977 hit 'Mull Of Kintyre' but struggled to remember the song's second line, 'Oh mist rolling in from the sea'.

But ever the pro, SuBo was soon back on track and made it through the rest of the song as the Queen and Prince Philip arrived at the stadium, who we're sure, didn't even notice.
The 53-year-old had admitted she was feeling the nerves ahead of her performance in a backstage interview with Clare Balding and also revealed that her performance was two years in the making.
Also taking to the stage was a silver-suited Rod Stewart who performed his 1991 hit, 'Rhythm Of the Heart'.

Meanwhile, it's been revealed that Kylie Minogue is set to headline the Games' closing ceremony at Scotland's National Stadium, Hampden Park.
