Strictly Come Dancing veteran Erin Boag has revealed why she turned down the chance to appear in this year's show – she's pregnant!
The 38-year-old is expecting her first baby with her husband Peter O'Dowd and told the Sunday Mirror that it was a relief to be able to spill the beans as she couldn't hide her bump for much longer!
"There's been much speculation about my absence from this year's Strictly Come Dancing, but I can now reveal the real reason why I turned it down. Yes, I'm truly excited and delighted to say I'm pregnant," the chuffed mum-to-be said.
"It's such a relief to be able to tell all as it's been strictly mum's the word these past few months."
Despite quitting Strictly to rest for her pregnancy, Erin revealed that she will be reunited with her dance partner of almost 20 years, Anton Du Beke, at the Albert Hall in December.
"My career is such an important part of my life. Before baby arrives, Anton and I will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in 'Anton & Erin's Christmas Cracker'," she said. "And after baby's born I'll be back dancing just as soon as my body and fitness allows. Anton and I already have bookings in place for next year, and I'm particularly delighted to say we're planning a big comeback tour for 2015."
