J.Crew's sizing metrics have reached an all time low.
The US fashion brand is now stocking womenswear in a size XXXS, that's 000. Or put simply, for women who simply don't exist/take up any space at all.

If the triple zero trend is the latest thing - because clearly zero and double zero just aren't tiny enough - this does not bode well for women who just want healthy bodies.
Yes, we're all naturally different shapes and sizes but this is just plain ludicrous.
Just to be very clear a US size zero equates to a UK size 4, which means that triple zero (a 23 inch waist) would be a big fat zero (or should that be super skinny zero?) over here.
The fact that a fashion retailer like J.Crew are backing such absurd size charts not only undermines positive attitudes around healthy, realistically proportioned bodies, but is quite simply unasttainable for the average post-pubescent woman.
