V Festival got underway on Saturday afternoon, and across the day plenty of acts performed, before Justin Timberlake’s headline set.

All Saints were tasked with kicking things off on the Arena Stage, which later played host to James Arthur, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Janelle Monae.

Their set was packed with all their greatest, including ‘Pure Shores’ and ‘Black Coffee’.

James Arthur packed out the tent and made the interesting choice to cover Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’, ahead of the former N-Sync singer’s headline set.

Meanwhile on the mainstage, the Kaiser Chiefs offered something for rock fans, though sadly, Manic Street Preachers were forced to pull out after travel delays in Budapest.
