Liverpool are in talks with former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdés.
The 32-year-old is a free agent after leaving Camp Nou this summer and is still recuperating from a cruciate ligament injury he suffered in March. With Valdés unattached to a club, Liverpool can complete the signing after tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.

Valdés failed a medical ahead of an expected move to Monaco this summer and could now provide competition for Simon Mignolet in goal at Anfield.
The Catalan made 528 appearances for Barcelona, winning three Champions Leagues, six La Liga titles, two Club World Cups and two Copa del Reys.
