iOS 8 has been released.
Apple's new software update has just hit the web, and you should be able to get a copy of it immediately.
To get the update: First back up everything. Then open up 'Settings' in your phone, click 'General' and click 'Software Update'. The phone should check for a new version and it should begin to download. You can also plug your iPhone into your computer and sync the software that way.
However, there may be a snag.
iOS updates are notorious for the huge demand experienced in the first 12 hours after release, as millions try to get hold of the file at once. So it might be worth waiting until the evening to download it, and letting it install while you're asleep.
