Earth is pretty big, for humans at least. On a cosmological scale however it's a speck of dust compared to the planets and stars that surround us.
Take this diagram that has just appeared on Reddit's Space subreddit for example, it shows so effectively just how small we are in comparison to the other planets in our solar system and then, in comparison to our Sun.
It's sometimes easy to forget just how large our Sun is, and yet, on a cosmological scale, it actually isn't even that big.
As a G-type main-sequence star it is relatively small compared to others in our universe, indeed this video shows how big the Earth and indeed our Sun is relative to the largest star ever discovered.
