This cute video of a bouncing baby and her jumping dog has got us a little baffled.
At first glance, it shows baby Alexis Sauve giggling her little head off as pet pooch Daykota frolics in front of her as he jumps higher and higher before attacking...the tiled floor!
All fair enough family stuff. But could something more mysterious be taking place?
Is, for example, little Ally barking orders at Day in baby language? Is she saying: "Jump higher, jump harder, now dig, dig, dig and get us out of this place?"
Or is Day having a delusional episode and is seeing rabbits in the baby's shadows and so – as is a dog's duty – simply trying to protect his charge?
Or is Day just as daft as a brush?
Story continues after video...
Whatever the case, the pet certainly knows how to entertain Alexis as she bounces and giggles in her sling.
Her mum Sabrina, who posted the 'Ally & Day' video to YouTube, wrote: "Alexis is learning the jolly jumper. Day(kota) has a love for shadows. Put these two together and what do you get....."
Answer: a very cute video, granted, although one viewer offered this theory: "That moment when you realise your dog is trying to protect your baby from the monster living underneath your house."
Or: the moment you realise your beloved pet dog is a pedigree chump and needs a trip to Specsavers.
