Break-ups bring out the worst in us (and our exes). Once upon a time your relationship was all fun and games, and suddenly you both become utter weirdos - crying in public, getting ridiculously drunk or doing your utmost to get the last laugh.
But so far, we've never heard of someone using baby animals to get their own back. (And we've been through our fair share of break-ups...)
Earlier this week, a woman received 15 baby chicks from her ex boyfriend in the post with the message: "There are lots of other chicks out there."
What he wanted to say: "There are plenty of fish in the sea, I don't need you, I'm totally moving on."
What he actually said: "I'm a complete nutcase who is still thinking about you 24/7 and sending baby animals to you in the post."

Shocked and understandably bewildered by the gesture, the woman told the postman she planned to dump them in the trash (WTF?!). But thankfully he was a kind-hearted soul and took them under his wing (so to speak), before dropping them at Washington Humane Society - who passed them on to the Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in Maryland.
The sanctuary then posted the following on Facebook...
