Forget 'Baby Got Back' it's all about 'Baby Got Buttne'...

With increasingly busy lifestyles and plenty of yoga-pant-wearing in between, buttne is fast becoming a 'thing'.

So what is buttne? And why on earth do we get it?

Buttne is essentially acne on your arse. It's caused by blocked pores on your booty, which will eventually break out into lots of little red bumps.

Causes vary, but a lot of the time it's because your clothing is far too tight and you're sweating more. Then when you sit down, this sweat and bacteria sticks to your bum and clogs up your pores.

“Sweat that sits on the body for extended periods of time leads to the overgrowth of bacteria that can exacerbate acne,” Dr. Carlos Charles tells The Cut.

Perhaps cut down on the twerking, too.

Additionally, moisturisers and body oil can clog pores and cause buttne. Sorry folks, but you need to refrain from reaching for the baby oil and doing a Kim K.

Got buttne? Here's how to get rid...

Avoid popping acne pimples on your derriere. It won't work. Plus it's just all kinds of awkward. Instead, opt for medicated body washes which contain either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

Failing that, speak to your GP about being prescribed some hardcore acne-busting solution such as 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide or Accutane, says Acne.org.
