Michael Buerk could become the third person to leave the current series of ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’ early, according to reports.
The newsreader has been popular with his fellow campmates, however he’s allegedly told ITV bosses that he’s regretting his decision to sign up for the reality TV show.
Will Michael call time on his stint in the jungle?
Just days after entering the jungle, Gemma Collins quit the show and ‘Corrie’ star Craig Charles also left, when he found his brother had died unexpectedly.
Now, a source is reported as telling the Daily Star: “Just as things were settling down, now Michael wants to go.
“Frantic efforts are being made to persuade him to stay. He adds a certain gravitas to the camp atmosphere. He would be a huge loss.”
According to the paper, Michael has told the show’s production team: "I feel like the younger campers have to take care of me. This is their world in a sense and not mine.
"They have got to take care of me, I need help. I am not helping them, they are helping me.
"My bottom is wearing out sitting on these logs all day. It's my bones."
Tinchy, Vicki and Michael were showered with bugs in a dingo dollars challenge
So far, Michael has had a relatively easy ride in the jungle and he hasn’t completed any of the Bushtucker trials.
However, after just over a week of tip-toeing around each other, the rows have begun, and Kendra Wilkinson and Edwina Currie went head-to-head in an almighty clash in Monday night’s show.
The row culminated in Kendra telling the former Tory minister to “get your heartless ass out of our conversations, shut the f*** up and go back to sleep where you belong.” Ouch.
