Carl Fogarty has been crowned King of the Jungle, after being named winner of ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’.
MORE 'I'M A CELEBRITY':
The former motorbike racer was voted the public’s new winner ahead of ‘X Factor’ singer Jake Quickenden, and TV presenter Melanie Sykes, receiving his crown from last year’s winner, Kian Egan.
Obviously happy to have won, Carl fell to his knees in front of the jungle throne, after excitedly telling Ant and Dec: “I can’t put into words how happy I am that the public have put me here…
“Whatever comes out of my mouth now it’s going to be all crap!”
And there were clearly no hard feelings from runner-up Jake either, who described Foggy as being like “Crocodile Dundee” in the camp, claiming he “couldn’t have [lost] to a better guy”.
In a poll on Sunday, HuffPost UK readers had named Foggy as the campmate they’d like to see made jungle royalty, racking up almost half of the votes, ahead of Melanie and Jake.
Foggy finishes his disgusting Bushtucker Trial
Before being announced as winner, Foggy was shown chowing down on tarantulas, ostrich anus and a camel penis, all in the name of winning a slap-up meal for himself and his two remaining campmates as part of his final Bushtucker Trial of the series.
He admitted to Ant and Dec beforehand: “I never thought this in my wildest dreams. The other two guys I’m in with now are very current. Mel’s on daytime TV and obviously with Jake and ‘X Factor’. I’m like... old and 15 years ago. What am I doing here? I’m just loving it. I’m really loving it.”
Mel, who finished in third place, faced her fear of going underwater with her final challenge, while Jake managed to last five minutes while wearing a helmet that was slowly filled up with cockroaches, crabs and crickets.
