A couple are set to be re-married after 43 years apart.
Louis Demetriades, 75, hadn't spoken to his wife since their divorce until December last year. As they began to reconnect, Louis decided to propose again on Valentine's Day with a heartwarming surprise at her workplace.
Renate Stumpf, also 75, met her soon-to-be hubby at a German army base in 1959. They married shortly after, but the union only lasted 12 years.
"We had little financial support, I didn't know anything and I could barely speak English," she said. "We started arguing about every little thing."
The German pair, who now live in the United States, went 43 years without talking to each and both wed new partners, but were reunited when Louis attempted to contact his daughter through Facebook.
"When we saw each other again last December, we knew right then we still loved each other for sure," Renate said. "That love has never passed."

Louis went to the Walmart where his ex-wife works to pop the question, holding a sign reading: "Happy Valentine's Day! Will you marry me?"
Renate initially declined to tease him, she claims, before saying "Yes, but not today!"
"43 years is a long time to say ‘yes’ right away," she told KFSM News.
"I’m going to have to test him a little bit first! I will marry him though, because he’s a good man."
