A 22-year-old widower has revealed how he and his wife got married in hospital, after they were told she had just 48 hours to live.
Within six hours of hearing the devastating news, Jack Beniston had proposed to his girlfriend Michelle O'Connor, 32, and the couple had tied the knot in the hospital waiting room.
Michelle, who had cervical cancer, was first diagnosed after giving birth to the couple's first child, Martha, last year.
“Going down the aisle towards the altar was the first time she had walked in a month," Jack said, according to The Mirror.
“She managed to take three or four steps before she fell and I helped her the rest of the way.
"It was hard for everyone to keep it together but Michelle was happy as anything. I cried more than her."

Family, friends and hospital staff went to great lengths to make the couple's day extra special.
According to the MailOnline, the bride's mother bought a dress for her daughter and the hospice, where Michelle was transferred shortly after the ceremony, was decorated like a honeymoon suite.
Jack stayed at the hospice with his wife for four weeks, until she sadly passed away.
