Despite recent claims in the news that Simon Cowell could be about to poach the ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ singer from ‘The Voice’, it sounds like she’s staying put for the time being.
An ‘X Factor’ insider tells The Mirror: “Rita is doing a really good job on The Voice. She has been one of a few names in the mix - but it’s now been decided not to pursue her.

“But it would be odd for her to do both shows in one year. And they are very different shows.”
Yes, very different singing competitions where contestants are mentored by one of four judges in the hopes of launching a career in the music industry. Very. Different.

Last year, Rita turned Simon down when he offered her the chance to judge the most recent series of ‘X Factor’, with Louis Walsh claiming: “Rita turning down ‘The X Factor’ to sign up to ‘The Voice’ is a big mistake. I really think it is.
“‘X Factor’ is much better than ‘The Voice’. I think she will live to regret that decision.”
It’s not yet known who will be judging ‘The X Factor’ when it returns to screens this summer, although the show’s executive producer has teased fans with the news that “exciting changes” were on the way, including to the format and judging panel.
Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have already been announced to be replacing Dermot O’Leary as co-presenters on the main show, while it’s been claimed that judges Mel B and Louis Walsh are both facing the chop.
