Blues legend B.B. King has died at the age of 89, it has been confirmed.
The star was taken ill last month, and on Friday morning, King’s lawyer confirmed that the musician had died in his sleep.
During his many decades in the music business, King released over 40 albums and became known as one of the greatest blues stars of all-time, thanks to hits including ‘Rock Me Baby’, ‘How Blue Can You Get’ and ‘Sweet Black Angel’.

King was a mentor to many modern musicians, and his famous friends and collaborators include Eric Clapton, U2 and Tracy Chapman.
Hundreds of fans, including plenty of A-list stars, have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to King.
