Louis Walsh has only just been released from his ‘X Factor’ responsibilities, but already he’s lashing out at his former co-stars with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini firmly in his line of fire.

“Cheryl wasn’t great last year. She’s sometimes lazy and lacks energy,” he told heat magazine.
“I know people say the same about me, but apart from anything, I am fun and I have a rapport with Simon [Cowell].”
Louis and Cheryl have a complicated history
Louis added that he would rather see axed judge Mel B back on the panel over Cheryl, or even see Nicole Scherzinger make a return.
“Personally, I’d rather have Mel B on the panel, I love her - but that’s not going to happen. I’d like to see Nicole back and I reckon Simon would, but I don’t suppose Cheryl would work with her.
“If I had my dream girl to pick for that panel it would be Sharon Osbourne, because she’s fun. She knows her stuff and she’s not frightened to say it,” he added.
Louis also appeared to confirm reports that Simon is planning on a four person panel made up of three males and Cheryl for the new series.
Nick Grimshaw has been heavily linked to one of the spots, and the Radio 1 Breakfast Show host has admitted he would love a role on the show.

But a report at the weekend claimed Grimmy had been told to calm his partying ways by Simon if he wanted to secure his place on the show.
A big shake-up of the show has already seen host Dermot O’Leary replaced by Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, and ‘Xtra Factor’ presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford axed.
The full panel is expected to be announced next month, when the show begins filming the judges round of auditions.
