Eddie Redmayne has been cast in the ‘Harry Potter’ prequel ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’.
The Oscar-winning actor will play the lead role of Newt Scamander in the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s book.

The new trilogy will follow the magizoologist in New York, and is set approximately 70 years before Harry’s adventures at Hogwarts begin.

The news was announced by Warner Bros’ President Of Creative Development Greg Silverman, who said they are “thrilled” to have Eddie on board with the film.
"Eddie Redmayne has emerged as one of today's most extraordinarily talented and acclaimed actors," Silverman said in a statement accompanying the casting news.
"We are thrilled to welcome him into J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World, where we know he will deliver a remarkable performance as Newt Scamander, the central character in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them."
Director David Yates added: "Eddie is a fearless actor, brimming with invention, wit and humanity.
"I couldn't be more excited about the prospect of working with him as we start this new adventure in JK Rowling's wonderful world, and I know she feels the same way."
Further casting announcements are expected in due course, with Katie Upton and Dakota Fanning both previously linked to roles.
‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ is slated for release on 18 November 2016.
