Land Rover has come with an app that will help you drive your car without you needing to be in it.
Land Rover claim the app will help you safely navigate out of those hard-to-manoeuvre situations that often leave you craning your neck towards the rear window -- think tight car parking spaces in shopping centres.
You'll basically be able to get out of the car, walk along side it at four miles per hour (if you're wondering about speed) and control the vehicle's steering, throttle and brakes.
For those of you who have a hard time parallel parking, we feel your excitement.
In order to ensure that the car doesn't totally lose control, Land Rover have designed the app to function only when the driver is within ten metres of the car and 'if the smart key can be detected. The system will stop the vehicle if the driver moves out of range or gets too close.'
If you're reaching for the app store, we would advise holding off for a while as this creation is still a prototype.
For now we'll simply enjoy the fact that we may soon have an app that could make us all better drivers. Goodbye road rage.
