A parking warden in the German city of Karlsruhe has presented a ticket to a piece of art.
The installation, entitled "Truck", received a notice of parking violation and a 30 Euro fine despite being bent at a 90 degree angle.
The bent red Mercedes MB100D is part of a series by Austrian artist Erwin Wurm, who likes to distort and deform vehicles.
"I am interested in the everyday life," Wurm says. "All the materials that surrounded me could be useful, as well as the objects, topics involved in contemporary society. My work speaks about the whole entity of a human being: the physical, the spiritual, the psychological and the political."
The piece was installed as part of a 300th birthday celebration at the Centre for Art and Media Technology (ZKM).
