Swiss Toilet Signs Are Telling People How To Poo Properly

Switzerland Is Telling People How To Poo Properly

Swiss railway authorities have felt the need to erect signs telling people how to poo properly on their trains.

The informative diagrams have been placed around toilets around Mount Rigi railway, at Lake Lucerne which is popular with tourists from Asia and the Middle East.

Marcel Furer, head of the regional tourist office, said: "Tourists from the Gulf region or Asian countries are not very aware of our way of living.

"It’s happened that people relieve themselves in the shower rather than in the toilet."

But visitors from Korea and China say the signs are unnecessary as they already know how to use a toilet properly.

Roger Joss, director of marketing for the railway, disagreed and said: "It happens that guests mount on the toilet seats to do their business - and sometimes they don’t know where to put the paper."
