However, his new wife Michelle Keegan needn’t worry, as he wasn’t hoping to hook up with any of the Islanders - instead he played a special DJ set for the ITV2 show’s contestants, as well as playing cupid for them.

Mark Wright arrives on 'Love Island'

Mark will be seen arriving at the Mallorca villa in tonight's (14 July) episode, as he spins some tunes at Lauren Richardson’s birthday party.

And the former 'TOWIE' star had plenty of advice on the matters of the heart, as he quickly turned into a love guru upon his arrival.

He told Lauren not to be upset that she hadn't found anyone she really liked on the show, in an emotional heart-to-heart.

"There’s a reason for everything," he told her.

"To be going out with Josh, that’s perfect, cos you’re mates, it’s better leaving the villa with someone you get on with rather than someone you’re pretending to love."

Mark had some words of wisdom for Lauren

Mark then turned his attentions to on-off couple Jess Hayes and Max Morley, encouraging him to ask her to be his girlfriend.

"Why don’t you do it now while I’m here, I’d love to be here when that happens," Mark told Max.

Calling Jess over, he said: "I’m only in here once and I have to go soon…I spoke to Max and while I’m in here I would like Max to say what he wants to say…"

As Max then asked the all-important question, Mark was delighted when she told Max it was a 'yes'.

Mark sorts things out between Max and Jess

"Everyone, Max and Jess are girlfriend and boyfriend….well done, congratulations Jess!" he announced to the group.

Mark's turn on the Island follows the returns of former contestants Paul Danan and Calum Best.

Paul appeared on last Thursday’s show to offer up his opinions on the latest crop of contestants, having starred on the original celebrity version of the show in 2005.
