‘X Factor’ auditions were brought to an abrupt halt on Wednesday, when the judges broke out into an ice cream fight, in the middle of the arena.
Well, at least they’re throwing ice cream at each other instead of insults.

A photo taken by an audience member at Wembley Arena shows all four of the judges up on their feet, following the impromptu food fight, while new recruit Nick Grimshaw revealed on his Twitter page that the incident caused them to stop filming temporarily.
While it’s still not clear why there was ice cream there in the first place, Nick admitted that it was Simon Cowell who kicked off the fight, while Cheryl Fernandez-Versini told a fan: “Well… he just got in quicker.”
We also predict the music mogul might find himself lumped with a dry-cleaning bill in the near future, as Cheryl suggested that the dress she’d worn to the auditions was looking worse for wear after the ice cream fight.
‘The X Factor’ is due to return to screens in the autumn, and producer Simon Cowell has made a few changes to the regular format, in order to keep things fresh as the show heads into its 12th series.
As well as the new additions to the judging and presenting line-up, with Caroline Flack and Olly Murs taking the helm of the new series, producers have also binned the ‘room auditions’.
It’s also been claimed that this year’s Boot Camp will be held at a stately home, rather than at an arena, while the Judges’ Houses stage of the competition could also be broadcast live this year, for the first time.
However, through it all, one face we won’t be saying goodbye to is Sinitta, who publicly warned Simon there would be “hell to pay” if he ditched her as his celebrity guest at Judges’ Houses.
