Jake Wood has opened up about what he’d like to get up to during his 12-month break from ‘EastEnders’, admitting that he’d love to spend some time in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ jungle.
The star is set to temporarily leave Albert Square later this year, and after his hugely successful star turn on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, Jake is ready to try another reality TV show.

When asked about whether he’d consider giving the Aussie jungle a go, he told Radio Times: “I do really like that show.
"Everyone I’ve spoken to who’s done it has said they really enjoyed it. I’m not squeamish - so eating strange stuff wouldn’t bother me.”
Jake’s character Max Branning is set to leave Walford in the coming months, and at present, he’s the police’s number one suspect in the Lucy Beale murder case.
While viewers know Bobby Beale actually committed the crime, it seems that DCI Marsden is certain she’s got the right man, and it’s possible that Max will be sent to prison.
Jake won himself a legion of new fans by appearing on ‘Strictly’, and despite his nerves ahead of the show, he went on to be a huge success, and narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
There have been plenty of rumours about who else could be jetting off to Australia, and Jake could be joining the likes of Spencer Matthews and Jamelia.
