Great White Shark Stuns Australian TV Hosts Into Silence

The Sheer Size Of This Great White Shark Just Blew This Anchor Away

Two Australian TV hosts have been stunned into silence live on air after a segment revealed an enormous great white shark being captured on camera erupting out of the ocean.

"I am never going back in the water," Karl Stefanovic - the host of the Today show - said moments after the footage was aired.

The colossal 4.5m shark also shocked co-host Lisa Wilkninson who joined in the vow to never to go back into the sea again.

The large shark shocked the pair of anchors

"That's it... that's the biggest thing I've ever seen" Stefanovic continued.

"Like that little cage is going to help you", he laughed.

Stefanovic was introducing a segment looking at new technology that allows cameramen to get closer than ever whilst filming the creatures.

Their new underwater vessels will include a mobile cage called the W.A.S.P (Water Armour Shark Protection), and will enable divers to walk along the ocean floor while filming.

Although appearing to be on the large side, the enormous predator caught on footage was of an average size.

Great whites are the largest predatory fish on Earth and they grow to an average of 15 feet (4.6 meters) in length.

Some specimens have been recorded to exceed 20 feet (6 meters) and weighing up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kilograms).
