Tom Hardy will be giving his many fans a double treat with the release of 'Legend', which sees him taking on both Kray twins in the latest telling of their East End criminality, with a big dose of West End glamour.
EXCLUSIVE: WATCH Tom Hardy in action above
In our Exclusive Featurette above, we go behind the scenes with Tom Hardy as he gets to grips with the double-challenge of playing Reggie Kray - charming, but fatally compulsed to look out for his brother - and Ronnie, beyond redemption, admirable only for his unashamed homosexuality in a time when it wasn't becoming for public figures, even less so, presumably, for gangsters.
Tom Hardy has taken on both Ronnie and Reggie Kray in the film 'Legend'
'Legend', written and directed by Brian Helgeland, is based on the book 'The Profession of Violence: The Rise and Fall of the Kray Twins' by John Pearson, telling of the family ties that kept them together, Reggie's ill-fated marriage, and their gruesome decline leading to life emprisonment for both.
Director Brian has defended depicting the pair stylishly and suavely in his film, telling HuffPostUK, "They WERE glamorous. They were photographed by David Bailey, that wasn't happening to other London hoodlums. I haven't invented any of that.
"It's up to the people who were around them to question whether that was a good thing, but it does make them an exciting story to tell."
'Legend' is in UK cinemas from Wednesday this week. Watch the trailer below...
