New reports suggest that Peter, who is the current favourite to win the new series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, has already shot a pilot episode of a new show called ‘It’s Me Or The Car’, which it’s claimed will act as a family-oriented version of ‘Top Gear’.
An insider tells The Sun: “It’s a big-money deal for Peter. It’s still in the pilot stage at the moment but the initial signs are promising.

The source also suggests that the new show could be a move to try and keep Peter at ITV, for whom he’s already hosted ‘60 Minute Makeover’ and appeared on a practically innumerable amount of reality shows.
The insider continues: “There’s a general feeling at ITV that his Strictly stint could turn into something more permanent on the channel.
“This opportunity is very much a tactical move to keep him on the channel as well as making a new television show.”
Peter isn’t the only star about to get behind the wheel of a new motoring project, though, with Dermot O’Leary about to host a new car show for the BBC, titled ‘The Getaway Car’.
Chris Evans will also be fronting a new series of ‘Top Gear’ next year, while Jeremy Clarkson and his former co-presenters have landed their own new show, which will be streaming on Amazon Prime.
