Todd Bachman, was getting ready to walk his daughter Brittany down the aisle when he realised something - or should we say someone - was missing.
Holding up the ceremony, he walked over to where Brittany's stepfather Todd Cendrosky was sitting, reached out his hands and pulled him up.
Together, they walked their daughter down the aisle. And there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
The touching moment has captured the hearts of thousands, and the photographs - taken by wedding photographer Delia D Blackburn - have had more than one million likes.
Blackburn posted on Facebook: "Families are what we make them... Make it about your kids and not your ego. Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is... Love for your children."
Thousands of Facebook users have commented on the photos. One person wrote: "What a great guy! It shows how much he appreciates this other man for loving his daughter as if she was his own."
Meanwhile another said: "So beautiful. I cried and I don't know them. What amazing men to share in the responsibilities of loving and raising a beautiful young lady."
