Following Jon Stewart’s departure from "The Daily Show," John Oliver represents one of the last vestiges of sanity on American TV. And the British comedian’s popularity is such that could have some minor sway over public opinion for the forthcoming presidential election.

“It’s 2015 right now,” he said. “I don’t care until it’s the same year as the thing I’m supposed to care about.” When asked why he cared at all, not being able to vote Oliver shot back “Taxation without representation -- you got all pissy about it when we did it,” before threatening throw America’s “coffee into the river.”
The conversation then strayed onto the “Comedian’s dream” of Trump’s wig, before the two old "Daily Show" alumni reminisced about the “irreplaceable” Stewart.
