‘EastEnders’ bosses have teaser what’s to come in the next few months, revealing that there’ll be plenty of drama for a number of characters.
The action is set to kick off with a huge, hour-long Halloween special and the next months will see Phil Mitchell and Bobby Beale among the characters thrust into the spotlight.
Speaking at an ‘EastEnders’ press event, soap boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins teased what fans need to watch out for…
1. Phil Mitchell
The Halloween episode will see drama for Kathy Beale, Ben and Phil Mitchell, and Dominic revealed that this is the start of a difficult period for Steve McFadden’s character.
2. Bobby Beale
Jane has struggled to cope with Bobby
Quite frankly, we’re still reeling from the news that Bobby murdered his sister Lucy, and in the months since the revelation was made during live week, viewers have seen Bobby continue to cause problems for his family.
Now, Dominic has hinted that we’re going to see an even darker side to the youngster, stating: “Bobby is definitely one to watch, as you’ll see… he’s a little bit of a little bastard! That story is going to reach its climax at Christmas.”
3. The Carters
The Carters have had quite the ride since arriving in Walford two Christmases ago, and Dominic addressed rumours of a confrontation between Dean and Mick Carter.
“Whitney’s behind the bar more and builds her relationship with Lee,” Dominic teased. “Then there’s Christmas with Dean and the not-so-secret Carters’ New Year wedding, which will be filmed in a couple of weeks time… with wetsuits!”
Lee's depression has escalated in recent months
4. Vincent Hubbard
Vincent’s been a man of mystery, who clearly has plenty of secrets, and it looks like we’ll finally be getting to find out some of them.
“There's big stuff for Vincent over the next few months with his feud with Ronnie,” the executive producer said. "We're going to find out a lot more about Vincent. So far he's been a little bit intriguing, but we're about to find out exactly what's going on behind those glaring eyes."
5. Stacey Branning
Martin is set to pop the question to Stacey on Halloween - but will she say yes? There have also been a number of questions over the paternity of her baby. James Bye, who plays Martin, previously revealed his thoughts on the storyline, stating: “He’s head over heels in love with her and starting to feel that in return. He’s got a unit which is what he wants. For him to find out that it’s not his…” Eeeek!
