'EastEnders': Danny Dyer Admits Bosses Have Put Disinfectant In The Queen Vic Pumps To Stop Him Drinking On Set

'EastEnders' Bosses Come Up With The Pefect Way To Stop Danny Boozing On Set

EastEnders’ bosses have taken to putting disinfectant in the Queen Vic beer pumps in order to stop Danny Dyer from drinking on the set of the soap, the actor has revealed.

The star, who plays landlord Mick Carter, has explained that producers have decided to prevent him from enjoying a swift half pint at the end of a day’s filming.

Writing in his new autobiography, ‘The World According To Danny Dyer: Life Lessons From The East End’, he said of the on-set camaraderie: "There's still time for a few laughs.

"I sometimes have a half at the end of the day in The Queen Vic, though they started putting TCP in the pumps to stop me drinking it."

However, Danny will soon be able to drink in the confines of his very own Queen Vic, as he is having a replica of the Walford pub installed in his new house.

"The prop boys are going to come in and build a mini version of it for me. I've already nicked an old sign they had,” he said.

"’EastEnders’ has played a massive part in my life and it can be a little bit of a man cave for me."

Danny’s on-screen family took over the Queen Vic when they joined the soap at Christmas 2013, and quickly became favourites among fans.

Mick and his partner Linda are currently gearing up for their New Year’s Day wedding, which will reportedly culminate in a dramatic showdown with Mick’s brother Dean Wicks, who raped Linda last year.
