The John Lewis adverts have become a Christmas institution in recent years, so it’s no surprise that there’s already been plenty of speculation over which song will be soundtracking this year’s clip.
Now, ad industry publication Marketing Magazine are claiming that Oasis’s ‘Half The World Away’ is being could be the tune of choice.

Despite the speculation, John Lewis bosses are determined to keep details of the ad’s storyline and soundtrack under wraps, and despite the fact it’s expected to be revealed next week, they’re even claiming that "a number [of tracks are] still under consideration".
A John Lewis spokesperson told NME: "Speculation about every element of our Christmas advert happens every year.
“However, we can confirm that at this point in time, neither the track nor the artist have been confirmed."
