After Peter Andre completed his performance on Saturday night, Anton was shown applauding from the wings, though some viewers couldn’t help but notice he didn’t seem altogether that impressed.

In fact, some even claimed to have seen him mouth the word “awful” to his partner, Katie Derham, without realising the moment had been broadcast to the nation.

Viewers on Twitter now appear to be divided about what really happened, with some seeing the funny side of the gaffe, but others calling Anton out for what they’ve deemed “unprofessional” behaviour:

It’s been a particularly controversial week for ‘Strictly’, with Jamelia dividing opinion when she suggested the show was being fixed in favour of Peter Andre, who she performed in the dance-off against last weekend.
While Peter responded to her claims, insisting this was not the case, head judge Len Goodman was later forced to speak out against ‘fix’ rumours, claiming: “Eleven years I’ve done this show and never has a producer come up to us and said, ‘Mark this person up a bit, we want them to stay in’.
“We just come out, say what we see and give a score and I totally understand sometimes I’ll give someone a seven and millions of people sitting at home will say that’s a nine. We’ve all got opinions. It’s taste, I like Brussels sprouts, you don’t.”
