Aliona Vilani has announced that she’s leaving ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, after winning the latest series of the show with Jay McGuiness.
The dancer became the first ever pro to win the show twice when Jay triumphed on Saturday, and she’s now revealed that she won’t be returning to the ‘Strictly’ dancefloor witn a low-key Twitter announcement.
Aliona shared two snaps of herself and Jay, writing:
The star is now enjoying some well-earned time off over Christmas, but before hanging up her ‘Strictly’ shoes for good, there’s the small matter of the live tour, which kicks off in early 2016.
During their time on the show, Aliona and Jay were forced to deny romance claims on a number of occasions, but the stories have continued following their win, and pictures of the pair embracing in the street after the ‘Strictly’ wrap party didn't exactly help matters.
MORE 'STRICTLY':
Nevertheless, Jay once again slammed rumours that he’s more than just friends with Aliona, telling Lorraine Kelly: “When you dance with someone you have to create romance sometimes and people then want to see that almost.
“But a lot of the time the papers create it and that sort of thing, but I think no matter what I say people will write whatever they want to write.”
