She has built a reputation for her barbed Tweets which polarise opinion and lead to endless rows.
But Katie Hopkins has, for one morning at least, tweeted something which doesn't kick anyone when they're down.
In keeping with the true spirit of Christmas she tweeted:
Within a few hours her tweet had clocked up almost as many 'hearts' as her controversial post from two days ago which is pinned to the top of her Twitter feed.
In that tweet she'd linked to her Daily Mail column where she written about the British Muslim family who were not allowed to board a plane at Gatwick Airport bound for Los Angeles.
In her piece Hopkins wrote of the incident: 'You can't blame America for not letting this lot travel to Disneyland – I wouldn’t either.'
The responses to Hopkins' happy tweeting were suitably festive.
It is unclear if the spirit of Christmas will continue beyond December 25.
