Jake Quickenden has already made a name for himself as a reality star and pop singer, but he could be about to try on a brand new hat for size.
It has been claimed that ‘Hollyoaks’ bosses are keen to sign up the former ‘X Factor’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity’ hunk for a role in the soap in the new year.

A source tells The Sun: “Jake has a decent following thanks to his appearances on top reality shows.
"He has the accent and can act, but appreciates this can be worked on."
While Jake has yet to address the rumours directly, he has previously teased his fanbase with the news that something exciting is coming in 2016.
He wrote on Wednesday afternoon: “Thanks to anyone who supported me in 2015… stay with me for 2016 it's gonna be even better.”
Jake first rose to prominence on ‘The X Factor’ in 2012, returning a year later and making it through to the live shows.
After being eliminated from the singing competition, it wasn’t long before he was back on screens, making a late entrance to the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle last year, and eventually finishing in second place, behind Carl Fogarty.

He wouldn’t be the first ‘X Factor’ star to land a role on a soap, though, after series two champion Shayne Wardmade his arrival on the ‘Coronation Street’ cobbles earlier this year.
Shayne is currently playing Aidan Connor, the new boss of the Underworld factory, who is already set for an exciting 2016, with the news that he is to get together with Catherine Tyldesley’s character, barmaid Eva Price.
