'Celebrity Big Brother' Contestant Megan McKenna Was Previously A 'Britain's Got Talent' Semi-Finalist, And Also Popped Up In 'TOWIE' (VIDEO)

Here's Where You Might Have Seen CBB's Megan McKenna Before

While you may not know Megan McKenna’s name, the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestant’s face may be a little familiar to some eagle-eyed fans, as it turns out that she has been courting the spotlight since 2010.

While her most recent and most well-known TV appearance was on last year’s series of MTV reality show ‘Ex On The Beach’, where she hooked up with co-star Jordan Davies, the 23-year-old has popped up on some of nation’s most popular shows.

You may remember that Megan was a contestant on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2009, as part of duo Harmony.

Megan and her friend Demi didn’t exactly make an impression on Simon Cowell, who claimed he “hated” their rendition of 'What Is This Feeling?' from the musical 'Wicked' during their audition.

However, they had fans in Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan (remember when he was a judge?!), and they managed to make it through to the live semi-finals.

The pair’s performance of Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ still didn’t win over Simon, who branded their singing “atrocious”, and they subsequently didn’t make the final, which was eventually won by dance troupe Diversity.

Despite Simon questioning her abilities as a singer, Megan carried on undeterred, and enjoyed a fleeting role on the first series of ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ in 2010, when she was part of the girlband Jessica Wright was in, called Lola.

When the group failed to take off, she decided to go back down the talent show route to pursue her singing dream, appearing on ‘The X Factor’ in 2013.

While Simon did not appear on the panel, judges Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger seemed to have a similar opinion to him, and Megan didn’t progress any further in the competition, and footage of her audition isn’t anywhere to be found on the internet.

Having now carved herself out a career as a model and reality TV star, could Megan be hoping to use her new-found ‘CBB’ fame to finally launch her pop dream?

‘Celebrity Big Brother’ airs nightly on Channel 5.
